Position   Senior Electrical Engineer
Activities   Our client is a small firm that focus on providing innovative solutions to the water sector developed through strong client relationships of mutual trust and respect and a commitment to quality and sustainability.

The work will be based in New Zealand with about 5% travel to Australia. Our client is getting more known in their industry and will soon have an office in Australia.
Education  
Experience  

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate most (but not all) of the following:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • 10+ years experience in relevant field
  • Experience in electrical circuit design (preferably in the water/wastewater industry)
  • Design experience of 3 phase power systems, motor control, and instrumentation
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Proven communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills with Word/Excel/Outlook
  • The ability to work effectively individually or within a group

The successful applicant will be leading the team of electrical engineers and will therefore require good management and organisational skills.  The work is varied, with all types of interesting projects from feasibility studies to detailed control system designs.  ACAD skills and experience of programming PLC and SCADA systems is not necessary, but previous experience in these areas would be beneficial.
